About me
WAIT A MINUTE, WHO ARE YOU?
Hi! My name is Prsna but I guess you already saw that at the top. First I want to clear up how my name is pronounced, it's like Krishna but with a P.
Now that's done we can get on with what you came here for, so let's get to it...
MY jOURNEY

I was born and bred in London. When I was 15 I found a passion for photography and went to take a creative media course at Westminster Kingsway College. I learnt so many useful skills such as Adobe software, film and digital photography, research, video editing etc.
After college, I was also going to take photography at university but I changed my decision at the last minute. While at college I carried out an assignment where I researched the history of advertising. This is where my liking for advertising began.

I decided to go to Middlesex University as it offered Advertising, Public Relations and Branding. I achieved a 1st in my degree :)
What I care about
Sustainability - I care deeply for the future of the climate, for mine and future generations and doing what I can to be as eco-friendly as I can.

Advocacy - I think spreading awareness of issues around the world is important in staying informed about what is happening and finding ways to help.

Personal Development - I also think self-development is important for growth, learning and sometimes unlearning certain things. I view this website as a representation of my personal development and I hope you join me to see my journey.

My Work
Where I want to go
Throughout both college and university, most of my assignments and projects focus on something environmental or social related, whether it's photography, posters, sculptures, brands, campaigns, reports or essays.

I chose to do this as I think it's important to talk about topics you feel passionate about.
Before my course at uni, I actually had no idea what PR was. I was introduced to its history, sub-sectors, campaigns, target audiences etc.
In my second year, I took a module called Promotional Cultures which was the best decision as it opened my eyes to topics I was unaware of, for example, greenwashing, corporate social responsibility (CSR), fast fashion, cultural homogenisation, data and politics etc.

This is when I knew I wanted to go into PR, more specifically environmental and social PR or CSR as it involves a mix of creativity, strategy and research while focusing on making a change.
A year in Sydney
I decided to take a huge step out of my comfort zone and move to Sydney for one year! I used it as a year of personal development to become more confident in myself and feel comfortable doing things I would normally find scary, like exploring a city on the other side of the world alone. It was a very worthwhile decision.
My first job
After graduating from Middlesex I went on to become a Marketing Assistant at Mama Shelter London. I have learnt so much from this job in all aspects of marketing, for example:
-
Competitor and Market Research
-
Graphic Design
-
Social Media
-
Client Outreach and Collaboration
-
Events Planning

Where I am Now
I've just returned from my amazing year in Sydney and am now looking for work in London. I'm looking to gain more experience in marketing and PR and am looking forward to my next chapter.
So that's me so far :)

If you made it to this point, thank you for taking an interest in me and my journey!
